Ask One Question Project

This is a world wide, community based invitation to all human beings to Ask One Question.

"If you stood at the feet of a power greater than yourself and could ask one question,
what would that question be?"

Who are you asking?
This question can be directed towards whomever you feel a deep reverence, or where ever your heart felt connection or devotion resides. For you this might be God, Allah, Krishna, The Great Spirit, Divine Mother, The Tao, Buddha, Jesus, Abraham, Muhammad, Saints, Angels, or any power greater than yourself.

prayerWho is sponsoring this and why?
My name is Jewel. I began The Ask One Question Project because the process of asking has been so powerful for me personally. 30 years ago I asked a question and received a response and that experience changed my life; I no longer felt alone. Since then I have found that if I am willing to ask, I ALWAYS receive an answer. It is my sincere hope that if you ask you will be answered too!

The "Ask One Question Project" is an invitation for people to share the deeper questions that arise on the human journey. My hope is to create a global conversation that will connect people from all cultures, spiritual traditions, and age groups in a dialogue about what is most important to us.

How do you participate?
You are invited to formulate a question and post it anonymously on this web site.  I encourage you to take a quiet moment with pen and paper and allow a question to arise from deep within.  When the question comes sit with it and see if you can go deeper until you feel, “yes, this is the heart of what I most want to know”.

Your question might be simple and direct, of universal interest or very personal.

Asking is a very ancient and powerful act. When you ask a question you immediately invite the possibility of being answered. Thank you for being brave enough to ask and share your question with others! After you ask the first question you may realize you have more, so you are welcome to post multiple questions, one at a time.

Receiving an answer and sharing your story;
I believe that no call to God goes unheard or is left unanswered, though how you receive the answer is always a mystery. Some of the ways answers have come to me are through books, a scene in a movie, something a friend or stranger says, in dreams, insights while walking in nature, or sitting in meditation. The process of asking opens us up to a deeper level of conversation that is completely unique to each person. As the poet Alice Walker says; "We must learn to love the questions themselves" as the poet Rilke said," like locked doors to which our blind and groping keys do not yet fit:"
